Three controls for the same body
The VM-500 works only in Run mode with a knob (200-3000 rpm); the 500S adds Touch mode (0-3000); the 500Pro moves to a digital display with buttons, lowers the Run floor to 100 rpm and adds an LCD with a 1 minute to 8 hour timer.
The point is the modules
Two come standard —centrifuge and test tubes, and flask or multi-tube— and six optional ones run from 96 tubes of 0.2 mL or a 96-well plate to 4 tubes of 50 mL, through 21 tubes of Ø12 mm, dozens of 0.5 to 2 mL, and a cell culture plate. They are ordered by code, VM-501 to VM-508.
